Miami Attorney Position now on Symplicity

The 11th Circuit Guardian Ad Litem Program currently has an opening with the Criminal Court Project. Attorneys with the Criminal Court Project specialize in advocating for and protecting child victims during criminal court proceedings, including trials and depositions, and facilitating the exchange of information between the criminal and dependency court systems. Attorneys work with specially trained volunteers, and also recruit and assist pro bono attorneys representing child victims.

Qualifications
Applicants should be self-motivated, able to work effectively with a diverse staff; members in good standing of the Florida Bar; have strong oral and writing skills; and be proficient in web-based legal research.

JOB FAIR For Florida Coastal Students


Southeastern Minority Job Fair

The Southeastern Minority Job Fair (SEMJF) provides law students with the opportunity to interview with legal employers from throughout the U.S. This interviewing opportunity is for both summer and full-time attorney positions and is open to second and third year law students, as well as recent graduates. This year, SEMJF will be held in Marietta, GA (just north of Atlanta) on July 30 - July 31.

SEMJF provides an excellent opportunity to interview with employers from across the country in one location. In order to register for this event please provide the following information to Lori Lorenzo (llorenzo@fcsl.edu ) no later than Thursday April 22nd at 5:00pm:

The Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office is Hiring!


Check out Symplicity for all of the information regarding the ENTRY level position with the State Attorney's Office in Miami. The practice areas include children, education, and juvenile issues, criminal law and death penalty work.

Attorneys in this office generally begin their employment in a training program lasting approximately two months and then proceed to trial division assignments. The office is staffed by over 300 attorneys and a support staff of approximately 900. The legal staff is approximately 50% female, and approximately 44% minority. The office provides a wide variety of criminal prosecution experience, including general misdemeanor and felony trial work, as well as assignment to specialized divisions. These specialized divisions include Sexual Battery, Career Criminal/Robbery, Senior Trial Counsel/Homicide, Economic Crimes, Domestic Crimes, Public Corruption and Racketeering/Organized Crime.

Judicial Intern Opportunity Program


The ABA Judicial Intern Opportunity Program is a full-time, six-week minimum, summer internship program open to all first- or second-year minority and/or financially disadvantaged law students who want to do legal research and writing for state or federal judges in Illinois; Texas; Miami, FL; Phoenix, AZ; Los Angeles and San Francisco, CA; and Washington DC.
The program seeks to provide internship opportunities for minority or financially disadvantaged law students, those who are members of traditionally underrepresented groups in the legal profession.
